AUR honors Jhumpa Lahiri & Carlo Petrini at its annual Commencement ceremony in Rome.

On awarding the honorary degrees, AUR's President, Dr. Scott Sprenger, highlighted the inspirational models that both Mr. Petrini and Ms. Lahiri provided for AUR students. He continued with the following laudations:

Helsinki Academic Field Trip with the International Relations program

In late March of 2023, the International Relations and Global Politics program at AUR undertook an academic field trip to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. While the trip was long planned, it occurred at a particularly momentous time for Finland as it became the 31st member of NATO.
