The first event in this semester's Peace Studies Lecture Series was a great success.
On the evening of February 6th, 2020, the American University of Rome and its Peace Studies graduate program hosted a screening of the celebrated documentary, Mother Fortress. Following the screening, the film's creator Maria Luisa Forenza spoke of the inspiration and message behind the documentary. The question and answer session led by Dr. Alessandro Mulieri was a time of reflection and discussion over the human condition in times of war and Syria's future. Perspectives from Catholic clergy members in attendance, educators, students and Syrians were welcomed during the discussion. Thank you to all who attended this first Peace Studies event of the semester, and stay tuned for future lectures.
