I was born in Boston Massachusetts, my mother is from the United States and my father is from Sicily, Italy. I moved to Italy in 2000 and graduated from The American University of Rome in 2002. In 2005 I attended St. John’s University, Rome campus and earned a Master in International Relations and a certificate in International Law and Diplomacy.

I’ve been working at The American University of Rome for five years in Financial Aid and Enrollment Services.  I love to travel to recruit new students and then welcome them on campus.  I’m also the supervisor of the Veterans Club and enjoy attending all the AUR alumni events in Rome.

Jessica York

Admissions Counselor

I grew up in a so-called third culture family, an American father, a German mother with four multilingual kids, who all attended international school and later on studied abroad. After a year of studying education at the University of Bologna, I knew Italy was the place I wanted to live. It took a while; I taught at international schools in England and Thailand and also worked as a guidance counselor in Germany. However, since all roads lead to Rome, I am finally living where I always wanted to live with my Italian (what else?) husband and my two kids and I thoroughly enjoy my present job.
