Jeffrey Avedisian is an Adjunct Professor of Microeconomics, having taught at both The American University of Rome and Parthenope University of Naples. Prior to his academic career, he served as an Electronics Technician in the United States Navy from 2008 to 2017, stationed in San Diego, California, and Naples, Italy.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Italian Language and Culture from The American University of Rome, followed by a Master of Science in Economics and Finance from LUISS University. After completing his Master's degree, he was awarded a research grant by Tuscia University for the project Innovative Processes, Digital Markets, and Competition. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Socio-Economics and Statistical Studies at Sapienza University of Rome.
His primary research interests lie in experimental and behavioral economics. His current projects explore diverse topics, including the impact of earthquakes on gambling expenditures, the effectiveness of classroom experiments, cooperation under risk, consumer information disclosure in online contexts, and prosociality in relation to regional family dynamics.
