Audit Student Fees

Auditing a course allows a student to take a class without the benefit of a grade or credit for a course. Anyone can audit an AUR course (subject to status and acceptance) for the purposes of self-enrichment and academic exploration.

Italian Government Requirements for non-EU Citizens

Health insurance is required for non-EU citizens unless they have their own health insurance valid for Italy. The health insurance is part of the permit to stay process.

Housing (optional)

The American University of Rome provides shared housing for those students who want it. This is completely optional, students are at liberty to find their own accommodation in Rome. However, Students electing university-facilitated housing are placed in furnished accommodation in areas surrounding the university campus. The apartments are located in traditional, well-established neighborhoods. This housing is well suited for students looking for a "full immersion" cultural experience.
