AUR is pleased to announce the appointment of Alan Fusetto as Assistant Dean for Experiential Learning and Strategic Partnerships, a newly established leadership role that will shape the University’s integrated approach to career development, experiential learning, and employer engagement.
Alan joins AUR with more than a decade of leadership experience in international higher education, most recently serving as Director of Career Services & Outreach at Johns Hopkins University SAIS Europe and with an earlier leadership role at the Bocconi School of Management. His work has centered on building employer networks, strengthening alumni engagement, and designing high-impact experiential programs that connect academic pathways with the global job market.
“With Alan’s appointment, AUR is taking a major step forward in aligning career strategy, academic planning, and experiential learning at an institutional level,” said AUR President Scott Sprenger. “His track record in building global partnerships and creating high-impact student programs will be invaluable as we continue strengthening post-graduate outcomes.”
As Assistant Dean, Alan will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive career and experiential learning ecosystem, including curriculum-integrated career education, new experiential pathways, expanded employer partnerships, and enhanced alumni involvement. He will also lead the development of a required career foundations course and establish frameworks for assessing student competencies and post-graduate outcomes.
“I am honored to join AUR at such a pivotal moment,” Alan said. “I look forward to working with the faculty, leadership, and students to build a dynamic, forward-looking strategy that supports career readiness, global engagement, and meaningful experiential learning opportunities.”
Alan holds degrees in Economics and Management, Conference Interpreting, and Language Mediation, and has pursued executive training through Harvard Business School and Johns Hopkins University.
