The American University of Rome (AUR) proudly inaugurated its Alumni Lecture Series for the Spring semester of 2024 with a distinguished presentation by Nozheen Murad, an esteemed alumna from the International Relations class of 2020. Murad's lecture, aptly titled "FAO's Mandate and Food Systems," offered an enlightening perspective on the crucial work of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and its pivotal role in shaping global food systems.

With an eager audience that filled the venue to capacity, Murad detailed the FAO's strategic programs aimed at fostering sustainable transformations within food systems worldwide. Through her role at the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, she conveyed the organization's commitment to sustainability, notably in agriculture, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals' ethos.

The AUR community extends heartfelt thanks to Nozheen Murad for her insightful contribution and to the audience for enriching the dialogue with their presence. This event not only served as a platform for knowledge exchange but also reinforced AUR's dedication to global issues and continuous engagement with its alumni network.
