This is an amazing opportunity for current students to spend four weeks over the summer working on a real production and utilizing the stunning facilities of the Terni Film Studios.

The course breaks down like this:

  • One week of preproduction in Rome
  • Two weeks on set at the Terni Fil Studios
  • One week of postproduction in Rome

All students are asked to submit one 10 page script - to be submitted at least 10 days before the course begins.
The instructors, Professor Tony Villani & Professor Victor Rambaldi, will then select two scripts. These two scripts would form the basis of the work in Terni; after the authors have made revisions based on initial instructor feedback, these scripts will be used to create the movies in Terni - the authors of the selected scripts will be the directors and all other students will be assigned key production roles based on their skills and/or on the requirements on set. Roles will be rotated throughout the program so that students gain experience of many different areas of production.

Roles to be covered:

  • Director of Photography
  • Camera Assistant
  • First Assistant Director
  • Continuity
  • Sound Engineer
  • Art Director

The enrollment fee is 3200 Euro. This includes accommodation in Terni and one meal a day to be taken at the Studio Commissary. To apply simply contact Professors Villani or Rambaldi (t.villani@aur.edu or v.rambaldi@aur.edu).
