AUR warmly congratulates Anna Mines (MA Food Studies '20) on her acceptance to a position with AmeriCorps in Honolulu, and we wish her the best of luck.

Anna told us about her new role:

Starting December 7th, I will be the Community Equity Outreach Specialist with the Honolulu City Office of Climate Change, Sustainability and Resiliency. The applicants were in the three digits, I've been told, so this is truly a surprise and I can't wait to get started. It's a position that calls for a range of knowledge and experience, which is right up my alley, including building partnerships with other organizations, facilitating community conversations about climate resilience, sustainability, native culture and equity, conducting research, building action plans, and generally representing the office at events. My master's work with food systems and tourism will be especially relevant for work in Hawaii.

We look forward to Anna's updates from Hawaii as she embarks on this wonderful opportunity.
