Rula Jebreal is an award-winning journalist, author, and foreign policy analyst who has received accolades for her groundbreaking work in Europe, the United States, and across the Middle East. Rula’s diverse body of works reflects the long-life engagement with topics that have directly impacted her experience, both professionally and personally: Rula is deeply committed to human rights, minority rights and refugees.
Rula has deep knowledge of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the new political order in the Arab-Muslim world, and the nationalist, populist movements rising throughout Europe and the United States. On the 20th September 2017, at 7.00 pm, at Villa Aurelia, Largo di Porta di San Pancrazio 1, we will honor her with a Doctorate in Humane Letters for advocating free thinking, for her commitment to empowering youth through education, and for transforming the lives of many by preparing the leaders of tomorrow.
