The AUR Wolves women’s team closed out its playoff campaign with an impressive 2–1 victory over Foro Italico in one of the team’s strongest performances of the season. Although the result was not enough to secure a place in the semifinals due to a tiebreaker based on regular-season standings, the match highlighted the determination, resilience, and growth shown by the squad throughout the year.
Needing a victory to keep their semifinal hopes alive, the Wolves delivered an energetic and disciplined performance from the opening whistle. Greta Bair gave AUR an early advantage, calmly converting a penalty kick within the first five minutes to set the tone for the match. The team maintained that momentum throughout a tightly contested defensive battle, with goalkeeper Morgan Rademacher producing a series of important saves to preserve AUR’s lead.
Leatlie Kelly added a second goal midway through the second half, rewarding a composed performance in possession and sustained pressure from AUR’s midfield. Foro Italico managed to score only in the closing moments of the game as the Wolves defense continued to frustrate their opponents for most of the match.
The victory marked a significant response following last week’s narrow defeat to Link Erasmus and reflected the team’s continued progress, teamwork, and competitive spirit during a challenging playoff run.
