AH 205 – ITALIAN FASHION: FROM THE CARNIVAL OF VENICE TO THE MILAN FASHION WEEK
The course explores the history and evolution of dress and fashion in Italy from the Renaissance to the present.
Students will learn about the historical context in which particular dress-designs and fashions appeared and how they evolved. The course also explores the connections between the developments in design and fashion and artistic styles and aesthetic ideals of a particular historical period. The course is a combination of in-class and on site/field trip classes.
This course satisfies the information literacy requirement.
Students are responsible for all entry fees.
