AUR Fine Arts professor Valeria Gasparrini spent July 2025 on an artist's residence at the Kulturmodell Bräugasse in Passau, Germany, working with fellow artists in stone lithography.

The Kulturmodell Bräugasse is on the site of a historic former brewery on Bräugasse 9 and comprises a total of 1,100 m² exhibition and event rooms, a completely equipped lithographic and etching printing workshop, studios for visual artists, a rehearsal room for dance and theatre as well as accommodation for artists from all over the world.

After a thorough renovation due to the flood in 2013, the "Kulturmodell" has been at the disposal of artists and the culturally interested again since February 2017 and The city of Passau has been celebrated for creating a place for fostering art and artists as well as a meeting point for artists from diverse countries which is attracting enthusiasts of culture far from beyond the borders of Passau.

Professor Gasparrini told us, "I indulged in the incredible expressive potential of stone lithography in this artist's residence on the banks of the Danube with my artist friends…we sanded, drew, inked and printed these incredible stones; bringing our projects to life. Pridefully I present the "Joy" series: monotype lithographs on multiple stones and various printing passages at the press."
