A CONVERSATION WITH EMMY-AWARD-WINNING INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER NATE HALVERSON

The American University of Rome is proud to host a fascinating Media Ethics event featuring Nathan Halverson, Emmy Award-winning senior reporter and producer with The Center for Investigative Reporting, alongside Professor Lorenzo Coretti, AUR's expert voice on digital communication and media ethics.

Nathan Halverson brings a wealth of experience in investigative journalism, having reported from around the globe, including Russia, Guatemala, Zambia, China, and Venezuela. His work has shed light on some of the most pressing issues of our time, from financial fraud and organized crime to the global control of food and water resources. As the co-producer and lead reporter of "The Grab," a feature-length documentary directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, Halverson delves into the hidden forces shaping the future of humanity's most vital resources.

Halverson’s investigations have made waves internationally, exposing corporate corruption, unethical practices, and environmental concerns. His award-winning journalism has been featured on NPR’s 'Morning Edition' and 'All Things Considered,' PBS NewsHour, Mother Jones, Newsweek, and more. A respected speaker, he has shared his expertise at institutions including Cambridge University, Columbia University, NYU, and UC Berkeley, among others.

Halverson and Coretti will explore the intersection of journalism, ethics, and the challenges of navigating truth in an era of information overload and global impact.
