Donvito’s journey did not follow a conventional route into the technology sector. After earning his degree from AUR in 2014, he initially set his sights on a career in finance. However, his professional trajectory took an unexpected turn when he entered the world of computing and cybersecurity within the music industry. Recognizing the value of continuous learning, he pursued a Master’s in Managerial Economics from Peking University in 2016, followed by an MBA from ESCP Business School in 2018.
Donvito secured a finance role at Microsoft Germany before transitioning to Google U.K. in Operations. Today, he applies his expertise as a business development leader at Salesforce, focusing on Italy’s public sector. His role at the global cloud-computing giant underscores the growing demand for professionals who can bridge technical acumen with strategic business insight - an intersection where a liberal arts background proves invaluable.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Donvito’s entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of DJs Without Borders (DWB) in 2013. This nonprofit organization harnesses the power of music to uplift communities in challenging circumstances, organizing events in orphanages, juvenile detention centers, and disability support facilities.
During his lecture at AUR, Donvito spoke passionately about the transformative impact of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and the evolving opportunities in the tech sector. He urged students to embrace lifelong learning, take advantage of internships and entry-level positions, and, most importantly, leverage the AUR alumni network to foster meaningful connections.
"Your career path may not unfold in a straight line, and that’s okay," Donvito advised. "The ability to adapt, learn, and network will be your most powerful assets in navigating the professional world."
His story serves as a compelling example of how an AUR education prepares graduates not just for a single career, but for a lifetime of innovation, leadership, and impact across industries.
