Applications are open for Spring Admission to The American University of Rome for both Transfer and new students. The Spring Semester starts on the 27 January 2020 with the preceding week set aside for arrivals and orientation activities.
Before you apply, you should determine which major is the right fit for you - although we also welcome those who are undecided. Take a good look at the university’s academic offer and determine which discipline will best fulfill your intellectual passions as you work toward your ultimate career and life goals.
AUR encourages students to combine their major with a complementary minor or to double major - our academic advisers will work with you to find the best combination of programs suited to you and to your goals.
No matter which major you choose, AUR will provide you with the solid and sought-after grounding in the arts of thinking and communicating that employers are looking for.
AUR is a small university and as such you will be entering a tight-knit and welcoming community - stay with us for any period of time and soon you will know everybody! However, the major you choose will be your academic “home” within the larger university and you will get to know faculty and staff members on a first-name basis as you make new friends among other students studying in your field.
Spring Application Deadlines:
AUR operates a ‘rolling’ admissions process with preference given to early applicants.
Due to student visa requirements, Non-EU/EAA students are encouraged to complete their applications as soon as possible. Please check the Visas and Permits page for more information.
We recommend that all applications are made before the end of November 2019.
