“The Painter’s Daughter", a portrait by Professor Timothy Joseph Allen, is one of two hundred paintings selected for the 2021 exhibition of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in London. The show will be open for viewing from Thursday, May 6th to Saturday, May 15th at Mall Galleries, The Mall, London SW1.

The exhibition is a celebration of the very best in contemporary portraiture nationally and internationally. Unlike other portrait exhibitions, it is rigorously selected by professional portrait painters who themselves have been elected by their peers to the Society.  It is one of the world’s most extensive contemporary portrait exhibitions forming a showcase of some 200 works.

This year there is a mini-theme of Childhood, and The RP Award will be presented for the best portrait on this theme.

For those not planning to be in London at that time, you can already preview the selected paintings online at https://www.mallgalleries.org.uk/whats-on/exhibitions/royal-society-portrait-painters-annual-exhibition-2021
