INDEPENDENT HOUSING

Important! ALL students, whether living in university-arranged or independent housing, MUST fill out the AUR housing form. Students living independently must submit the form to decline AUR Housing and inform staff.

Students planning to live independently should understand that finding accommodation in Rome is possible but requires a considerable amount of effort. Please note that businesses, including real estate services, are usually closed during the month of August and it is recommended to arrive and find your apartment prior to orientation week.

Here is a list of recommended websites and Facebook Groups.

AUR is not responsible for any private accommodation arrangements. AUR staff cannot be available for translation, negotiation, or trouble-shooting purposes and students are responsible for their own arrangements.
