Andrea PacorThe American University of Rome (AUR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Andrea Pacor as the Interim Dean of Academic Affairs. Dr. Pacor, a scholar in American literature and interdisciplinary studies, with advanced degrees in English and American Studies from the University of Sussex and the University of Kansas, brings a wealth of teaching and administrative experience to this role, reflecting AUR’s commitment to academic excellence.

 

Dr. Pacor has been a faculty member at AUR since 2012, initially teaching in the Communication and English program. In 2016, he was appointed to a tenure-track position as Director of First-Year Writing, where he excelled in shaping the university’s foundational composition courses and contributing to the broader English Writing, Literature, and Publishing program. Dr. Pacor also oversees AUR’s Writing Center and serves as a faculty editor for the university’s literary journal, *Remus*.

 

Upon announcing the appointment, Dr. Scott Sprenger, President of AUR, remarked, “We are delighted to have Dr. Andrea Pacor step into the Dean of Academic Affairs role. His extensive experience within AUR positions him as a solid interim leader to guide AUR’s academic programs while we conduct a search for that position. I am confident that Dr. Pactor’s administrative skill and dedication to AUR will be instrumental in driving our university’s mission forward.”
