A new course on Writing Fiction for Children and Young Adults

Many years ago J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series had reinforced and expanded tremendously this market, demonstrating that children and young adults were quite willing to follow engaging narratives even as book length soared, with each installment, well into the hundreds of pages.

Internship at Romeing Magazine

In April 2018, I began my internship at Romeing, an English-language magazine for expats and tourists in Rome. Romeing updates locals and visitors on a wide range of activities in Rome, from restaurant openings, to concerts, to museum exhibitions.

Caprarola: beyond the Villa and pleasure gardens to the sustainable farm.

In 1569 the Brescian poet Lorenzo Gambara (c.1500-1586) published a verse description of the Farnese palace at Caprarola in 1000 hexameters with a dedication to his patron Cardinal Alessandro Farnese (1520-89), known to his contemporaries as Il Gran Cardinale.
