NAPLES, CAPRI, SORRENTO, AND POMPEII WEEKEND
Join the Student Life crew for a new twist on our old classic and very popular trips to Capri and Pompeii!
For the first time, we’ll be combining our trip to the beautiful Isle of Capri with a tour of the excavations at Pompeii, a walk around Naples as well as adding overnight stays in the town of Sorrento.
Naples: Italy's third-largest city is one of its oldest, most artistic, and most appetizing. Naples' Centro Storico (historic center) is a Unesco World Heritage Site. Naples is where pizza was invented, and since the 19th century, the Neapolitans have raised it to a fine art!
Capri: magnificent coastal walks, flower-strewn mountain slopes and, of course, the shimmering blue Mediterranean sea with its natural wonders which include the magical Blue Grotto and Faraglioni.
Sorrento: on the Amalfi coast overlooking the Bay of Naples, this cliffside town offers spectacular views across the bay. It is also the home of limoncello.
Pompeii: buried under ash and pumice and lost for over 1500 years, this Roman city frozen in time was rediscovered 4 centuries ago. Today this UNESCO World Heritage site offers extraordinary insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire.
TUSCAN WEEKEND
This Student Life weekend trip will take you to the fabled towns of Tuscany: Siena, Florence, and Trequanda. From the leaning tower of Pisa to the highly sophisticated medieval city of Florence to the beautiful landscapes of Trequanda (our wine-tasting destination). There are cathedrals, city palaces, intimate town squares, and breathtaking landscape views. This is the best way for you to become the most “cultivated” traveler and lover of the best of Italy.
The Student Life department provides you a chance to visit some of the historical and artistic treasures of these selected cities of Tuscany.
There will also be leisure time for wandering, shopping, individual discovery, and relaxation.

Minimum Participants Required: 7 students
Meeting Point: Trastevere Station, departing for Santa Marinella
Return: Around 8 PM, same day
Cost: €60 (includes transportation, pizza-making, and a donation)
What’s the Plan?
Start your day with a purpose! We'll arrive early to begin our hands-on pizza-making session. While the dough rises, we'll explore the inspiring Repubblica dei Ragazzi. After baking and enjoying our homemade pizzas, we'll unwind with a swim at the beach or take a scenic hike in the nearby hills.
How Will We Make a Social Impact?
This trip is more than just fun—it's an opportunity to contribute meaningfully. You’ll get to meet the residents of Repubblica dei Ragazzi, learn about their incredible self-governed community, and make a direct contribution through your trip fee, which includes a donation to support their ongoing work.
What is Repubblica dei Ragazzi?
Founded in 1945 in Civitavecchia near Rome, Repubblica dei Ragazzi is a remarkable community initially created for children who were orphaned or displaced by World War II. What makes it unique is its self-governed structure—complete with a constitution, government, and laws—all managed by the adolescents who live there. This innovative educational model fosters values like democracy, responsibility, and civic engagement through real-life experience. Today, the community continues to provide a safe haven and education for vulnerable children, including those from impoverished backgrounds and unaccompanied minors.
Don’t miss this chance to bake, relax by the beach, and contribute to a better world!
Register and be part of a memorable day that blends fun, learning, and social impact.
